Brynne Moore - Earrings

Brynne is a functional potter and graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she received her BFA in Ceramics and BA in Art History. Her work explores the intimate connections that form between handmade pottery, its maker, and the person who ultimately uses it. She primarily creates utilitarian vessels through wheel throwing, with an emphasis on delicate, human-like curves and subtle variations in form and surface. For Brynne, a pot is more than an object—it is an extension of the maker that becomes part of someone else’s daily life, creating a lasting and often deeply personal connection.

Brynne approaches making as a form of meditation and introspection. The focused, repetitive nature of working at the wheel offers a sense of calm and control, while glazes, textures, and small charms invite the user to physically explore each piece. She believes a functional pot is best understood through touch and use, allowing its subtle complexities and individuality to reveal themselves over time. Her work has been exhibited throughout Northwest Arkansas, in Rome, and alongside the annual NCECA conference. She is also a recipient of the UARK School of Art’s Windgate Accelerator Grant, which supported the continuation of her studio practice outside of academia.
