Meet Ashlyn
Born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Ashlyn has always been a creator, maker, and someone who loves bringing her ideas to life. She has always been drawn to the idea of creating a space where artists, designers, and makers can truly thrive, grow, and find community in Northwest Arkansas.
Ashlyn graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, with a degree in Furniture Design. While there, she fell deeply in love with leatherworking and began making her own handbags and shoes. That experience deepened her lifelong love of making things by hand and her appreciation for the time, creativity, and craftsmanship that goes into making something from nothing.
In 2019, Ashlyn began working as an interior designer, working with clients across the country and sourcing pieces to make their homes feel personal and unique. As she looked for artwork and products made by local artists for her clients, she realized there was a huge gap for this in Northwest Arkansas. Outside of weekend markets and traditional galleries, there weren't many places where people could consistently discover and buy work made by local artists and makers.
That realization eventually became Kaleidoscope Collective.

Be the reason an artist finishes their project.
✴ SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS ✴

With a huge push from her best friend, who owns the shop next door, Kaleidoscope opened its doors in Fall 2023.
From the beginning, Ashlyn knew she wanted Kaleidoscope to be more than a retail space. She wanted it to be a place where community could grow.
A place where someone who has never considered themselves an artist can walk into a workshop on a Saturday, try something they've never done before, and leave holding something they made themselves, and hopefully something they love. A place where a new artist can walk in and ask another artist, “How do I price this?” or “Who can help me with my branding?” or “My art is great, but my packaging needs some help.” A place where artists can learn from each other, share resources, ask questions, and celebrate one another's wins.
Kaleidoscope hosts monthly craft clubs, weekly workshops, and gallery shows that allow emerging artists to have their first solo exhibition, with their work on the walls for an entire month and the possibility of opening doors to new opportunities. The goal is to create a space where artists aren't just given a place to sell their work—they are supported in building their creative careers.
And for the community, Ashlyn wants Kaleidoscope to feel like a place you bring your friends when they're visiting town. A place where regulars can walk in every few weeks and discover something completely new because there is always new local work on the walls and shelves. A place that feels inspiring, welcoming, bold, a little unexpected, and maybe even a little like a second home.
At its core, Kaleidoscope exists to support artists; not the other way around. Ashlyn believes that creativity shouldn't feel exclusive or intimidating, and that art is for everyone. Whether you're a professional artist, someone making your first piece of pottery, a lifelong collector, or someone who just wants to wander around and see something cool, there is always a place for you here.
