Book a Private Tufting Workshop with Melspace Creative!

Looking for a fun, hands-on activity for your next group gathering? Learn how to tuft and take home your own handmade rug in a private workshop led by Melissa of Melspace Creative! Perfect for birthdays, team-building, bachelorette parties, or just a unique day with friends.

In this private session, Melissa will walk your group through each step—from brainstorming your design to tufting and finishing your rug. This beginner-friendly workshop covers all the essential tufting skills you’ll need to create your very own rug from start to finish. And the best part? You'll leave with your completed rug that same day!

All materials are provided—all you need to bring is an idea for your design that fits within a 2-foot by 2-foot frame. Still deciding what to create? Melissa will be there to help you workshop ideas and bring your vision to life. We also have a few projectors, so you can project our design straight from your phone to the canvas!

During your session, you and your group will:

-Sketch and finalize a design

-Learn the tufting basics

-Tuft your own rug

-Finish it with gluing, trimming, and backing

Private Workshop Deposit & Cancellation Policy

To reserve your private tufting workshop with Melspace Creative, a non-refundable deposit of $75 is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures your requested date and staffing for opening the studio on a day we are normally closed. Please note: this deposit is separate from the individual workshop ticket price and does not go toward the cost of participant tickets.

Private workshops require a minimum of 6 participants and can accommodate up to 12.

All participant tickets must be purchased no later than 7 days before the scheduled workshop date.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Please note that all workshop ticket sales are final and non-refundable, including both the deposit and individual workshop tickets. This policy reflects the time, materials, and scheduling dedicated to your private event.

If you need to reschedule, you may do so at least 14 days in advance, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made fewer than 14 days before the workshop cannot be accommodated, and the deposit will be forfeited.
