We're celebrating bold color and creative exploration this season at Kaleidoscope Collective. Artist Claire Pongonis unveils her newest series that leans into an expressive palette of pink, indigo, and chartreuse. Claire’s current work focuses on inviting unexpected, playful methods and intuitive processes into her work. 

In conversation with Claire's work, A Bold Collab has curated a selection of art and collected smalls that echo her vibrant energy and fearless approach to color.

From the Artist

This series began with Soft Return, a piece that marks a shift in my current creative practice. It is a quiet return to playful exploration and intuitive making. 

My recent work typically centers on more representational pieces, with a strong narrative driving the creative process from start to finish. This series asks: What would happen if I allowed the materials and process to lead the way? 

Within this series are the grounded, earthy landscapes for which I am known, combined with pieces that focus on color and free-flowing mark-making. I hope that within this series, you will see my exploration of layers, the stories of the places I love, and find a refreshing sense of spontaneity. May it be an invitation to lean into the unknown and see the beauty there.
